Our Venue

Columbus Museum of Art

For more than three decades, our members have valued the intimate evening programs at the Columbus Museum of Art. Our programs are followed with a reception with tasty treats and a cash bar, where members can interact with the speakers, friends and new acquaintances.

PLANNING YOUR EVENING

Do all members and guests have to be registered in advance for events?

Yes. The caterer needs time to prepare food and beverages for the post-lecture reception. Because some museum galleries are open to members and guests of Crichton Club after hours, insurance rules require that all attendees must be registered by the deadline.

Can I bring guest(s) to events?

If the member(s) cannot attend an event, they may invite an equal number of guests to take their place, OR they may bring an equal number of guests to join the members at the next lecture. There is no additional charge for guests under these circumstances. There is no carry-over option to the next season. Members are encouraged to bring guests to join them for the lectures and receptions for $85 per person.

The Lecture

The Crichton Club lecture series feature some of the world’s most influential and innovative artists, architects, writers, scholars, designers, and curators. Our lectures take place in the Schottenstein Pavilion.  The pavilion is equipped with state-of-the-art audio and projection equipment. Can’t make it to a lecture? Our programs are recorded for later viewing on our website. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the programs begin at 7:30 p.m.

What To to Wear

Happily, styles do change. Today, professional casual-social is appropriate for all attendees to the lecture and post-lecture reception.
